dance the beauty to the rhythm of Tarantella.
Dancers give life to ancient figurations depicted on temple pediments and decorations by presenting four images through the steps of Taranta: the verticality of movements in Pizzica from Salento; “sky-ground” movements of Tamurriata from Campania; jumped steps of Tarantella from Calabria, Lucania and Gargano; the whirling Dervish from Turkey and swirling rotations of women from Egyptian Zar.

Ancient mysteries and tarantism
A myth has a universal, not an individual, value. A myth is a broken image of the truth, like a rainbow is a reflex of the sunlight which rays are refracted in the cloud. However, it is possible to pick up and combine all pieces of this broken mirror and thus reconstruct it. ORPH is a performance that goes beyond the folkloristic aspect of Italian Tarantella in order to elaborate and go deeply in Orphism and the symbolic representation of the myth of Dionysus.
